Description: The Center for Energy Studies was created at the end of 1976 after the first oil crisis. After an initial phase during which research topics focused particularly on solar energy and energy storage, the Centres activities gradually developed towards a broader research field. They were consolidated by the addition of skills in remote sensing and geographical information and now cover a much wider area corresponding essentially to a predominant theme: Energy and Technological Innovation .
